Authentication

Authenticate every request

Create an API key, send it as a bearer token, then call the environment-specific API base URL.

  1. Create credentials

Generate an API key in the developer console and keep the value available only to your server-side application.

  2. Add the authorization header

Pass the key with the Authorization header on each API request.

  3. Send an authenticated request

Use your selected environment base URL and confirm the response before integrating additional endpoints.

Request example
Authorization: Bearer $CLOUD_API_KEY

curl https://api.cloudplatform.example/v1/projects \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $CLOUD_API_KEY" \
  -H "Accept: application/json"

Best practice: Store keys in a secret manager or environment variable, never in client-side code, and rotate them on a regular schedule.

03 / REFERENCE

Endpoints

Predictable REST resources let you move from account setup to production workflows without changing mental models.

01

Accounts

Create and manage the account records that identify your customers and hold their platform settings.

  • POSTCreate an account
  • GETRetrieve account details
  • PATCHUpdate account settings

02

Projects

Organize environments, credentials, and application resources into isolated project workspaces.

  • GETList projects
  • POSTCreate a project
  • DELETEArchive a project

03

Usage

Inspect measured consumption and retrieve the usage data needed for reporting and operational controls.

  • GETRead current usage
  • GETFilter usage by period
  • GETExport usage records

04

Webhooks

Register endpoints that receive signed event notifications as resources change across your projects.

  • POSTRegister an endpoint
  • GETList subscriptions
  • DELETERemove a subscription

Example: retrieve a project

FAQ

Answers for the last mile of integration.

Quick, practical guidance for moving from your first request to a reliable production integration.

How long does setup take?
Most teams send a first authenticated request in under 15 minutes using a workspace API key and the quickstart request format.
Why am I receiving authentication errors?
Confirm that your key is active, belongs to the intended workspace, and is sent as Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY.
What rate limits apply to the API?
Limits are applied per workspace and endpoint. Check the response rate-limit headers and use exponential backoff after a 429 response.
How does API versioning work?
Use the versioned base path shown in the reference. Versions remain stable for their published lifecycle, and release notes identify any migration work before a new version is required.
Where can I get help with an integration?
Start with the endpoint reference and request examples. If you still need help, contact platform support with the request ID and the endpoint you are calling.
